Adelaide

Located on the banks of the river Torrens the capital of South Australia is the city of Adelaide also known as the city of churches.

Coober Pedy Opal Mines

Coober Pedy located in the heart of South Australia is the opal capital of the world, opals were first discovered in Coober Pedy in 1915, many of the homes here are carved out of rock underground, in order to battle the extreme temperatures that the area encounters.

Flinders Ranges

The Flinders ranges is a spectacular and rugged region of outback South Australia well worth a visit.

Kangaroo Island

Australia's third largest island, Kangaroo Island is another South Australian tourist location well worth visiting and can be reached by plane or ferry.

My Gambier

An extinct volcano and located 5 hours from Adelaide is Mt Gambier.

An important recreational area for locals Mt Gambiers Blue Lake is formed by the craters of the extinct volcano, the lake becomes to a vibrant blue between November and March, and there is a 3.6 km walking track around the shores.

Situated approximately 360 kilometres south east of Adelaide is Naracoorte.

Naracoorte Caves located 12 kilometres, south of the Naracoorte township, has the World Heritage listed, Victoria Cave, containing some remarkable fossils such as a giant boa snake, marsupial lions, gigantic wombats and gigantic kangaroos.

Port Augusta

Port Augusta situated at the head of Spencer Gulf is the crossroads of Australia.

This is the intersection of the Sydney to Perth and Adelaide to Alice Springs railway lines as well as the major Sydney to Perth and Adelaide to Darwin highways.
