Western Australia occupying one third of Australia is Australia's largest state and the second largest entity in the world.

WA's Capital City Perth


Located on the banks of the Swan river the capital city of Western Australia is the Beautiful city of Perth.

Beaches


Perth has many beautiful beaches to explore that rank amongst the very best in the world, Clean sand a clear blue water stretch in both directions along the Perth area coast, producing poular meeting areas such as such as City Beach, Cottesloe Beach, Floreat Beach, Scarborough Beach, these close to the city beaches all lie between Fremantle Boat Harbour in the south and Hillarys Boat Harbour on the Northern beaches end of Perth, there are also plenty of great beaches further afield. Many such beaches close to the city tend to have cafe, free to use electric and gas BBQ's, restaurant facilities, surf clubs, outdoor showers and changing rooms near by. There are even several pet friendly beaches for taking your dog on a walk. The west is famouse for its blazing sun sets as the sun lowers on the horizon over the indian ocean. Popular activities include swimming, wind surfing, boogy boarding, kite surfing, sail bording, diving and snorkelling, beach vollyball, jet ski hire, fishing or just plain relaxation. Some beaches such as city beach and Cottesloe also have grassy areas with shade trees overlooking the ocean.

Fremantle Port


At the mouth of the Swan river sits the historic city port of Fremantle.

Boasting a wide array of night life, and restaurants Fremantle is another Perth destination to put on your list of places you must visit in Perth. Fremantle became a popular entertainment district after it was re-developed for the Americas cup yacht race.

The Swan Valley Wine District near Perth


The upper reaches of the swan river is the Swan Valley Wine Region, where many fines wines are produced, you can take a boat trip up the Swan River and visit some of the wineries for wine tasting and a meal, many boat trips also include scenic commentary en rout.

The Kimbeley Region of Western Australia


The far North West of the vast state of Western Australia has much to offer, from the unspoiled natural beauty of Broome and the Kimberly in the arid far north, where you can take a yacht charter or flight to the spectacular Buccaneer Archpelago and the horizontal waterfalls, take a 4wd adventure trip on the Gibb River Road and visit outback cattle stations, or Fitroy Crossing and the Giekie Gorge where you can find fresh water sawfish, stingrays, crocodiles.

Pilbara Region North West WA

South West Western Australia Wine Region


In the South West you can visit temperate forested areas like the coastal town of Denmark, Pemberton or Walpole. Self drive through the world famous Margaret River Wine region and its many world class wineries, a good way to unwinde and relax.

World Class Surfing Beaches


Iif activity is more your style you may choose to experience the world class surf beaches in the South West near Yallingup and Margaret River or why not just take in the scenery.

South West Holidays

Close to Perth


Other Popular destinations within a day trip from Perth are Rottnest Island, where you can visit for the day by ferry from Fremantle or Perth or if you choose you can stay longer. The order of the day at Rottnest Island is to explore the island and its many bays via a hire bike, the bus tour of the Island is a very good way to see it all before exploring by bike on your own.

The pinnacles desert rock formation near Cervantes is a very popular Perth day trip destination.

The town of Mandurah can now be accessed via a short train ride to the south.
