Noosa Australia
Noosa is a little piece of exclusive city suburbia located on the Sunshine Coast, 178 km north of Brisbane and with a present population of around 10 000. Noosa's resort area commences at Peregian Beach in the south and extends north through Marcus Beach, Sunrise Beach and Sunshine Beach to Noosa Heads. All are bordered to the east by the Coral Sea.
Hastings Street
Hastings Street is the cosmopolitan boutique resort street in Noosa town. With numerous restaurants, shops, galleries and a fabulously chic atmosphere, Hastings Street is the place to be.
Noosa National Park
Only walking distance from Hastings Street in Noosa Heads is the entrance to the magnificent headland area of Noosa National Park; 477 hectares of protected coves, surfing beaches and seascapes.
A network of walking tracks wind through the lavish rainforest and spectacular ocean lookouts offering visitors a chance to explore the open forest, wallum headlands, scrubland and grass lands of the Noosa national Park.
Noosa National Park Flora and Fauna
The park is home to the koala, and rare and threatened wildlife such as the glossy black cockatoo, ground parrot, red goshawk, wallum froglet, swamp orchid and Christmas bell.
Open woodlands with a heath understorey and low wallum heath cover most of the park. Hoop and kauri pines tower above small rainforest pockets growing on sand in sheltered sites away from the sea breezes.
